J.R. Artozqui
John Raymond "J.R." Artozqui (born April 10, 1987) is a former American football quarterback for the Copenhagen Towers in the National Ligaen of the Danish American Football Federation. Artozqui graduated from Doane College in 2009. He played high school football for La Habra High School in Orange County, California. Doane College After graduating from high school in 2005, Artozqui signed with Doane College Tigers in Crete, Nebraska, where he became starting quarterback for the Tigers NAIA-team in his first season. He appeared in nine games, passing for 857 yards and throwing five touchdowns, and rushing for another 4. Returning as quarterback for another season in 2006. After losing the first games of the season- Artozqui won the first and only game of the season on October 28, 2006 when he led the Tigers to a 35-24 victory against Concordia University. Crete, Nebraska
Crete is a city in Saline County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 7,099 at the 2020 census. History The railroad was extended to the area in 1870, bringing settlers. In 1871, two rival towns merged to form a new town, which was named after Crete, Illinois, the former hometown of an early settler. La Habra High School is a public co-educational high school located in the Orange County, California city of La Habra. Located between the Coyote Hills to the south and Puente Hills to the north, LHHS opened in 1954 and graduated its first class in 1956. Doane University is a private university in Crete, Nebraska. It has additional campuses in Lincoln and Omaha, as well as online programs. History Doane College was founded on July 11, 1872, by Thomas Doane, chief civil engineer for the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad. David Brainerd Perry was the first college president.
