Iván Ruiz
Iván Benito Ruiz Cuesta (born 26 March 1977), also known as Iván Ruiz, is a retired volleyball player from Cuba. A one-time Olympian (2000), he played as an outside hitter and won a gold medal with the Cuban men's national volleyball team at the 1999 Pan American Games. He also helped Cuba win the gold medal at the 2001 World Grand Champions Cup. The 1997 FIVB Volleyball World League was the eighth edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament, played by 12 countries from 16 May to 5 July 1997. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
