Victor Bruce Sullivan (7 December 1918 – 29 January 1993) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Sullivan was born in Launceston, Tasmania, the son of James Bruce Sullivan and his wife Julia Ellen (née Brown). He was educated at Downlands College in Toowoomba and on leaving school became a grain, beef, pork, and lamb farmer. Leisha Teresa Harvey (née Piasecki, born 4 April 1947) is a former Australian politician. She was a National Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1983 to 1989, representing the electorate of Greenslopes. She served as Minister for Health in the government of Mike Ahern government from 1987 until her sacking in January 1989. She lost her seat at the election that December, and was not long out of Parliament when she was charged with numerous counts of misappropriation of public funds concerning her usage of her official credit card. After a high-profile trial in 1990 and subsequent conviction, she spent five months in prison and a further seven months in home detention. Peter McKechnie
Peter Richard McKechnie (9 February 1941 – 26 May 2011) was an Australian politician. He was born in Goondiwindi to Henry McKechnie and Heather May, ''née'' Coulton. He worked as a station hand from 1957 to 1958 and a property manager from 1961 to 1968 before becoming a grazier in Charters Towers. He married Jeanette Ruth Morwood on 23 May 1964, with whom he had two children. In April 1974 he became electoral secretary to his father, who was the Country Party member for Carnarvon in the Queensland Legislative Assembly. When his father retired at the election that year, Peter McKechnie was elected as his successor. In 1983 he was appointed Minister for Tourism, National Parks, Sport and the Arts, moving to Industry and Technology in 1986 and to Family Services and Welfare Housing in 1987. Mike Ahern (Australian Politician)
Michael John Ahern (born 2 June 1942) is a former Queensland National Party politician who was Premier of Queensland from December 1987 to September 1989. After a long career in the government of Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen, Ahern became his successor amid the controversy caused by the Fitzgerald Inquiry into official corruption. Ahern's consensus style and political moderation contrasted strongly with Bjelke-Petersen's leadership, but he could not escape the division and strife caused by his predecessor's downfall. William Angus Manson Gunn AM (22 June 1920 – 20 September 2001) was an Australian politician who represented the Queensland Legislative Assembly seat of Somerset from 1972 until 1992. A member of the National Party, he also served as a Minister and Deputy Premier in various Queensland administrations during the 1980s, and was instrumental in establishing the Fitzgerald Inquiry.
