Itzacon Eire, more popularly known as Itzacon, is the premier gaming convention run by the Fantasy and Science Fiction Society (Fansci) of NUI Galway, Ireland. A gaming convention is a gathering centered on role-playing games, collectible card games, miniatures wargames, board games, video games, or other types of games. These conventions are typically two or three days long, and often held at either a university or in a convention center hotel. Cathriona "Cat" Tobin is a game designer and publisher based in West Cork, Ireland. She co-owns the London-based Pelgrane Press with Simon J Rogers and is a significant contributor to the roleplaying game industry in the UK. Career Tobin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. She has contributed to the game community in Ireland and the UK for many years.
