Italy–USA Foundation (Italian: ''Fondazione Italia USA'') is a non-profit non-partisan organization based in Rome, Italy, established to promote friendship between Italians and Americans plus American culture in Italy. Organization The foundation's president is Mauro della Porta Raffo, and its Vice Presidents are Emilio Carelli, Gabriella Giammanco, Dario Stefano and Gianpaolo Vallardi. The Secretary General and founder is Corrado Maria Daclon. Paolo Mieli
Paolo Mieli (born 25 February 1949) is an Italian journalist who has been editor of Italy's leading newspaper, ''Corriere della Sera''. Born in Milan, Mieli debuted as journalist at 18 for ''L'Espresso'', where he remained for some 20 years. As a member of Potere Operaio he initially adhered to far-left positions. Later he took a more moderate stance under the influence and tutelage of his teachers, Rosario Romeo and Renzo De Felice. In 1971 he signed the Open letter to L'Espresso on the Pinelli case against the police officer Luigi Calabresi. From the 1980s Mieli worked for the most important Italian newspapers. After one year and a half at ''La Repubblica'', he was hired by ''La Stampa'' in 1987. He became director in 1990. Dante Ferretti (, born 26 February 1943) is an Italian production designer, art director, and costume designer. Biography Throughout his career, Ferretti has worked with many acclaimed directors, both American and Italian, including; Pier Paolo Pasolini, Elio Petri, Federico Fellini, Liliana Cavani, Terry Gilliam, Franco Zeffirelli, Martin Scorsese, Anthony Minghella, and Tim Burton. Francesco Paolo Fulci
Francesco Paolo Fulci (19 March 1931 – 21 January 2022) was an Italian diplomat who served as Ambassador to the United Nations. Education Fulci graduated with honours in law in 1953 from the University of Messina and obtained a master's degree in comparative law at Columbia University, New York, where he studied as a Fulbright scholar from 1954 to 1955. He later received the diploma from The Hague Academy of International Law, and attended the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, from 1955 to 1956. Carlo Scognamiglio Pasini (born 27 November 1944) is an Italian economist and politician. He is a university professor in applied economics, and was Chancellor of the LUISS University of Rome (1984–1992). Carlo Cracco (born 8 October 1965 in Creazzo, Veneto) is an Italian chef and television personality. Biography Cracco attended the Pellegrino Artusi institute of hospitality management in Recoaro Terme. After graduating, he worked at the restaurant "Da Remo" in Vicenza. In 1986 he began to collaborate with fellow chef Gualtiero Marchesi in Milan. Later, he worked at the restaurant at "La Meridiana", a resort in the province of Savona. Cracco then lived in France for three years, where he studied French culinary arts. After that, Cracco returned to Italy, where he was chef at the Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence. Giampaolo Di Paola (born 15 August 1944) is an Italian naval officer who served in the government of Italy as minister of defense from November 2011 to April 2013.
