Italy national football B team is a B team representing the Italian Football Federation. Over time, the squad has faced other nations' full teams and played matches against 'B' teams from other football associations. Since the team's creation in 1927, they have played 70 official matches. History Italy B was created in 1927, to give the possibility to test under-21 or less experienced players, in addition to those involved with the senior national team. made their debut at the Stade de la Frontière in Esch-sur-Alzette on 17 April 1927, beating Luxembourg national football team, Luxembourg's A team 5-1. The selector of the team was Renzo De Vecchi. The team also had elements of some experience, such as Luigi Cevenini, the author of the first goal. Italy National Under-21 Football B Team
Italy national under-21 football B team is the Italy national football team that represents Serie B at competitions and is controlled by the Lega B. Due to sponsorship reasons, the team was credited as Under-21 Serie B TIM until 2010. They are the B team and feeder team of Italy national under-21 football team, which occasionally plays against other national under-21 teams. Unlike the main team, the U21 Serie B selects players from Serie B only and was controlled by Lega Calcio (later Lega B) instead of Italian Football Federation (FIGC). The Mediterranean Cup was an association football competition contested by men's national teams and national B teams of the states bordering the Mediterranean Sea. There have been three tournaments for the Mediterranean Cup: the first one was officially called Eastern Mediterranean Friendship Cup, the second was called Eastern Mediterranean Cup and the last one was just "Mediterranean Cup". Italy, Egypt, Greece and Turkey were the four participants of the first two editions (Italy played with the national B team). Spain B was a secondary football team run occasionally as support for the Spain national football team. They commonly played matches against 'B' teams from other football associations, from 1949 to 1981. Early history Spain B's first game is considered by some to be the one on 29 May 1927 at the Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid, where they beat the Portugal A team 2-0, thanks to second-half goals from Francisco Moraleda and Manuel Valderrama.
