''Isthmus'' is the sixth studio album by Irish ambient musician Seamus Ó Muíneacháin. Background and release ''Isthmus'' was recorded after O'Muineachain returned to Ireland from the Czech Republic, and was inspired by the landscape of the Erris region. The album features field recordings and collaborations with cellist Akito Goto. The album had its radio premiere on ''The Stephen McCauley Show'' on BBC Radio Ulster on 30 August 2022. The lead single "Lost Fishermen" was broadcast on KEXP, An Taobh Tuathail, KXCI, BBC 6 Music, and Açık Radyo. The album premiered on ''It's Psychedelic Baby! Magazine'' on September 27. Reception Mike Mineo of ''Obscure Sound'' wrote: "There’s an immediate charm to the album’s scenic and lush composure." Seamus Ó Muíneacháin
Jimmy Monaghan (Irish: Seamus Ó Muíneacháin) is an Irish musician from Belmullet, Ireland. He is the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the anti-folk band Music for Dead Birds. He has also released music under different names including ''The Crytearions'' and Christian Bookshop. Early life Monaghan was born in Danbury, Connecticut, and moved to Ireland at the age of six. He is of Irish and Italian descent. As a teenager he was an amateur Boxing, boxer, winning four Irish national titles. He won a silver medal at the 2004 Four Nations tournament boxing for Ireland and received the Western People Sports Star of the year award the same year.
