Israel National Under-21 Football Team
The Israel national under-21 football team ( he, הנבחרת הצעירה של ישראל בכדורגל) is the national under-21 football team of Israel and is controlled by the Israel Football Association (IFA). It is considered to be the feeder team for the senior Israel national football team. It has recently qualified for the European Championships to be held in the Netherlands after beating the French under-21 team 2–1 on aggregate. This team consists of Israeli players aged 21 or under at the start of each two-year UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship campaign, so players can be, and often are, up to 23 years old. Team members may also simultaneously qualify to various teams for Under-20s (for non-UEFA tournaments), Under-19s and Under 17s, or even the senior national team, so long as the meet the respective age restriction. HaMoshava Stadium
The HaMoshava Stadium ( he, אִצְטַדְיוֹן הַמוֹשָׁבָה), also known as Petah Tikva Stadium, is a football stadium in Petah Tikva, Israel. It was completed in 2011, and is used mainly for football matches and is home to both Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Petah Tikva, and it has been used as the temporary homeground of Sektzia Ness Ziona. The stadium also serves the Israel national football team for some select home matches since 2012. The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 11,500 with an option for further construction of 8,500 on the south and north stands, totaling 20,000 seats. As part of a larger sports park in the new industrial area of the city, the complex will also boast a 3,000 seat multi-purpose arena, and artificial turf training fields. 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship Qualification
The 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification began in 1998. The final tournament was held in 2000 in Slovakia. The 47 national teams were divided into nine groups (seven groups of 5 + two groups of 6). The records of the nine group runners-up were then compared. The 1994 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification began in 1992 and finished in early 1994. The final tournament was held in March and April 1994 in France. The 32 national teams were divided into six groups (four groups of 5 + two groups of 6). The group winners and the two best runners-up played off against each other on a two-legged home-and-away basis to determine the final four, one of whom would host the last four matches. The team from Serbia and Montenegro, then known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (founded in April 1992) were excluded from the tournament for political reasons. Imaye Taga (sometimes Amaya or Amiya, he, אמייה "אמיר" טגה, born 1 February 1985) is an Ethiopian-born Israeli former footballer who played for the Israel U21 national team, and currently serves as a member of the city council of Netanya, Israel. The Wales national under-21 football team, also known as the Wales U21s, is the national under-21 football team of Wales and is controlled by the Football Association of Wales.
