Ismail Yusuf College
Ismail Yusuf College, is the fourth oldest college of Mumbai, India. ''"I Y college"'', as it is popularly known, is managed by Government of Maharashtra. It is the oldest college in North Mumbai. It was established in 1930 with a large donation from Sir Mohammed Yusuf Ismail, K.T. on Jogeshwari Hill. The foundation stone was laid by Leslie Orme Wilson, Governor of Bombay in 1924. Kantilal Mardia
Kantilal Vardichand "Kanti" Mardia (born 1935) is an Indian-British statistician specialising in directional statistics, multivariate analysis, geostatistics, statistical bioinformatics and statistical shape analysis. He was born in Sirohi, Rajasthan, India in a Jain family and now resides and works in Leeds. He is known for his series of tests of multivariate normality based measures of multivariate skewness and kurtosis as well as work on the statistical measures of shape. Shankar Vaidya (Devanagari: शंकर वैद्य) was a Marathi poet and writer from Maharashtra, India. He was married to writer Sarojini Vaidya. He died on 23 September 2014 in Mumbai. Career Vaidya was a Marathi poet known for his easy flowing poems. He was also known for his deep study of poetry covering Marathi poets going back to the 19th century and even earlier to 13th century poets like Sant (Saint) Dnyaneshwar. Hamid Dalwai
Hamid Umar Dalwai (; ; 29 September 1932 – 3 May 1977) was an Indian journalist, social reformer, thinker, activist, author, writer and the founder of Muslim Satyashodhak Mandal and Indian Secular Society. Despite being an atheist, he attempted and advocated for several modernistic and liberal reforms within the Indian Muslim community, most notably being his futile agitation against the practice of triple talaq and polygyny during the 1960s. He has also authored several books, including ''Muslim Politics in Secular India'' (1968). Habib Wali Mohammad
Habib Wali Mohammad ( ur, ), (16 January 1921 – 3 September 2014) was a Pakistani ghazal and film playback singer. Early life Habib Wali Mohammad was born on January 16, 1921 at Rangoon to a conservative Memon family, which later moved to Mumbai where he grew up. His family, Tabani, an industrial house has large business holdings in Pakistan. During his childhood, Habib Wali Mohammad often listened to Qawwali music. Kader Khan
Kader Khan (22 October 1937 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor, screenwriter and film director. As an actor, he appeared in over 300 Bollywood films after his debut film in the 1973 film '' Daag'', starring Rajesh Khanna, in which he acted as a prosecuting attorney. He was a prolific actor and screenwriter in Hindi cinema in the period late 1970s to 90s and wrote dialogues for 200 films. Khan graduated from Ismail Yusuf College affiliated to Bombay University. Rafiq Zakaria
Rafiq Zakaria (5 April 1920 – 9 July 2005) was an Indian politician and Islamic religious cleric. He was closely associated with the Indian independence movement and Indian National Congress party.
