Atsuko Ishizuka
is a Japanese animator, storyboard artist and director. She began her animation career after joining Madhouse in 2004. Career Ishizuka's journey to becoming an animator was rather unusual by industry standards in Japan. Unlike many of her contemporaries, she did not grow up watching anime on television, but rather developed an interest in music and graphic arts. Upon graduating high school, she decided to focus on graphic design and entered the Aichi Prefecture University of the Arts. While there, she was prompted to do an arts project and chose to do an animated video because it would allow her to combine her two areas of interest. In this way, she entered the animation world not attempting to secure a career, but to make art for art's sake. During her education at the art school, Ishizuka made a number of short animated films for her own enjoyment, often set to music. is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Ishizuka was born in Kyoto Prefecture on August 26, 1974. After graduating from high school, he joined Verdy Kawasaki (later ''Tokyo Verdy'') in 1993. Although he played as an offensive midfielder, he did not become a regular player like Ruy Ramos, Tsuyoshi Kitazawa, Bismarck, and others. Sagen Ishizuka
was a doctor in the Imperial Japanese Army who pioneered the concepts of ''shokuiku'' (food education) and the macrobiotic diet. He was one of the first to investigate the nutritional value of whole grains as well as sea vegetables, daikon, and kudzu. Biography He was born into a modest family of traditional physicians, and continued their tradition by going into medicine. Having little wealth, he ended up teaching himself basic techniques while working as a language teacher. By the age of 16 he had already learned the Dutch language, essential to study Western medicine in Japan. (He later also successfully mastered German, French and English.) Ishizuka Tomoji
was the pen-name of Ishizuka Tomoji (written in different ''kanji'' (石塚友次)), a Japanese ''haiku'' poet and novelist active during the Shōwa period of Japan. Early life Ishizuka was born in rural Kitakanbara District, Niigata Prefecture. He moved to Tokyo in 1924, and found a job in a bookstore, while hoping to find a break into the literary world. His chance came when a friend introduced him to the famed novelist Yokomitsu Riichi, who agreed to take Ishizuka on as his disciple. However, Ishizuka was interested in poetry as well as prose, and also joined a literary circle organized by Hasegawa Reiyoshi. Literary career In 1933, Ishizuka contributed ''haiku'' verses to the ''Ashibi'' literary magazine. was a Japanese actor, voice actor, narrator and theatre director from Katsuyama, Fukui. He was affiliated with Aoni Production at the time of his death and was known for providing the voice of both the narrator and Professor Oak on the Japanese anime series ''Pokémon''.
