Isaack Luttichuys (25 February 1616 (baptized) – 6 March 1673 (buried)) was a Dutch Golden Age painter. Biography Luttichuys was born in London. According to the RKD He was the brother of the painter Simon Luttichuys, and had moved to Amsterdam by 1643, where he became engaged in 1643 to Elisabeth Adolfs Winck.Isaack Luttichuys in the She may have died, however, since in 1648 his son Isaack was baptised and the mother was Sara Grabey. According to RKD, he was probably the same person as Simon Littlehouse who painted a portrait of the bishop Thomas Morton of St. John's College, Cambridge in 1637/1638. Pieter Nason
Pieter Nason (bapt. 16 February 1612, Amsterdam - 1688/90, The Hague) was a Dutch painter. He became a member of the Guild of Painters of The Hague in 1639, and in 1656 was one of the forty seven members who established the 'Pictura Society. From a MS. by Pieter Terwesten, it appears not improbable that Nason was a pupil of Jan van Ravensteyn; and it is believed that his name has been effaced from pictures since attributed to Mierevelt, Moreelse, and above all to Ravensteyn. It is certain that he painted the portrait of John Maurice, Prince of Nassau-Siegen, Prince Mauritz, Governor of the , engraved by Houbraken, and those of Charles II of England, Charles the Second of England, engraved by C. Van Dalen and Sandrart, and of the Grand Elector. Dutch Golden Age painting is the painting of the Dutch Golden Age, a period in Dutch history roughly spanning the 17th century, during and after the later part of the Eighty Years' War (1568–1648) for Dutch independence. The new Dutch Republic was the most prosperous nation in Europe and led European trade, science, and art. The northern Netherlandish provinces that made up the new state had traditionally been less important artistic centres than cities in Flanders in the south.
