Irwin Thomas
Irwin Thomas (born Irwin Thomas Whittridge, 6 January 1971) is an American-born Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He performs professionally using the stage name Jack Jones from when he was the lead vocalist-guitarist in the band Southern Sons (1990–1996). His other bands collaborations include Electric Mary, She Said Yes and Ahmet Zappa. He is known for his collaborations with John Farnham and Rick Price. He released his debut solo album, ''The Evolution of Irwin Thomas'', in 2002. Early life Irwin Thomas Whittridge was born in 1971 in Manhattan, New York City. His father Pvt. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. ''Southern Sons'' is the self-titled debut album by Australian band Southern Sons. The album was released in Australia through Wheatley Records (best known as John Farnham's label) in June 1990 and reached number 5 on the ARIA charts. A total of 4 singles were released from the album. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1991, the album was nominated for ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist – Album, but lost to ''Safety in Numbers'' by Margaret Urlich. Virgil Donati
Virgil Donati (born 22 October 1958) is an Australian drummer, composer and producer. He holds the drum sticks in the Traditional grip, traditional style and is also proficient at the Keyboard instrument, keyboard. Donati formed Planet X (band), Planet X with Derek Sherinian and was the band's principal composer on all their albums. He also performed in Melbourne with Irwin Thomas, Jack Jones (Irwin Thomas) in a Van Halen tribute band known as Hans Valen before inviting Jones into Donati's own bands The State (band), The State and Southern Sons. The State (band)
The State were an Australian band, which formed as The Cutters. Their second single, "Real Love" (October 1988), was nominated for the 1989 ARIA Award for Best New Talent.
