''Ironclad'' is a horizontally scrolling shooter developed by Saurus for the Neo Geo CD video game console. Gameplay Release ''Ironclad'' was never officially released in North America, but if the game is put on a North American system, the game will be playable in English and display the "Ironclad" title screen. It was re-released by D4 Enterprise for Wii via the Virtual Console in Japan on November 24, 2009, in PAL regions on March 12, 2010, and in North America on April 5, 2010. A port for Microsoft Windows, macOS, OS X, Linux and asm.js developed by DotEmu was released by SNK#2003–2016: SNK Playmore, SNK Playmore as part of the Humble Bundle, Humble NEOGEO 25th Anniversary Bundle on December 15, 2015. The is the second home video game console of SNK, SNK Corporation's Neo Geo family, released on September 9, 1994, four years after its Neo Geo (console), cartridge-based equivalent. This is the same platform, converted to the cheaper CD format retailing at per title, compared to the cartridges. The system was originally priced at , or . The system can also play Compact Disc Digital Audio, Audio CDs. All three versions of the system have no region-lock. SNK Playmore
is a Japanese video game hardware and software company. It is the successor to the company Shin Nihon Kikaku and presently owns the SNK video game brand and the Neo Geo video game platform. SNK's predecessor Shin Nihon Kikaku was founded in 1978 by Eikichi Kawasaki. The corporation was initially named . In 1981, the name was informally shortened to SNK Corporation, which became the company's official name in 1986. SNK is known for its creation of the Neo Geo family of arcade, home, and handheld game consoles in 1990.
