Irish Cricket Team In South Africa In 2016–17
The Irish national cricket team toured South Africa in September 2016. They played two One day internationals, one each against South Africa and Australia. They lost heavily in both matches, by 206 runs against South Africa and by nine wickets against Australia. Their match against South Africa was the first ODI to use the updated rules to the DRS system, which brought more of the stumps into play for LBW decisions. Squads AB de Villiers was originally named as the captain for the game against Ireland. However, he was still recovering from an injury, so Faf du Plessis took his place as captain and Rilee Rossouw was also added to the squad. The Ireland cricket team represents All-Ireland, all of Ireland in international cricket. Paul Stirling
Paul Robert Stirling (born 3 September 1990) is an Irish cricketer. Stirling is the opening batsman for the Ireland cricket team and an occasional right arm off break bowler. He is one of the top 10 run scorers in T20 internationals. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match, against Pakistan, in May 2018. Chris Tremain (cricketer)
Christopher Peter Tremain (born 10 August 1991) is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield and for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League. Domestic career Tremain made his state-level debut for New South Wales in the 2011–12 season. In July 2012, he was given a state contract with New South Wales for the first time. Joe Matthew Mennie (born 24 December 1988) is an Australian professional cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler for South Australia, the representative team of the South Australian Cricket Association, and in the 2017–18 Big Bash League season he will begin playing for the Melbourne Renegades, his fourth BBL team. Mitchell Ross Marsh (born 20 October 1991) is an Australian international cricketer. Marsh has represented Australia in all three forms of cricket, making his debut during the 2011–12 season. Usman Tariq Khawaja ( ur, ; born 18 December 1986) is an Australian cricketer who represents Australia and Queensland. Khawaja made his first-class cricket debut for New South Wales in 2008 and played his first international match for Australia in January 2011. John Wayne Hastings (born 4 November 1985) is a former Australian international cricketer who played for the Victoria cricket team. He played as an all-rounder. In October 2017, he announced his retirement from Test and One Day International cricket. Later that month, he retired from all forms of cricket following a lung condition. Aaron James Finch (born 17 November 1986) is a Australian international cricketer who captains the Australian cricket team in T20I and formerly captained the national team in ODI cricket. Scott Michael Boland (born 11 April 1989) is an Australian international cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he also plays domestically for Victoria and the Hobart Hurricanes. George John Bailey (born 7 September 1982) is a former Australian cricketer, who played all formats for the national team and captained the team in limited-over formats.
