Iran Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Iran national ice hockey team ( fa, تیم ملی هاکی روی یخ ایران) is the national men's ice hockey team of Iran. The team was founded in June 2016, is controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran Skating Federation, and on 26 September 2019, became an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Iran made its debut in the IIHF World Championship in 2022. As of 2022, Iran is ranked 56th in the IIHF World Ranking. History Ice hockey in Iran Back in the 1970s, ice hockey was played as a recreation sport by the general public at the "Ice Palace" ( fa, قصر یخ) which was located in Pahlavi Street before Vanak Square, there was also another ice rink located in Aryamehr Sport Complex which was only used for ice skating. The white lion is a rare color mutation of the lion, specifically the Southern African lion. White lions in the area of Timbavati are thought to have been indigenous to the Timbavati region of South Africa for centuries, although the earliest recorded sighting in this region was in 1938. Mark Ardelan (born March 16, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played most notably in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Ardelan began playing ice hockey at five years old. He began his junior career in 1999 at the age of 16 with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League WHL. United States Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The United States men's national ice hockey team is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with its U18 and U17 development program in Plymouth, Michigan. Rhett Rakhshani
Rhett Thomas Rakhshani (born March 6, 1988) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He was selected by the New York Islanders in the fourth round (100th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Rakhshani is of Iranian–German–Mexican–American descent.
