Iporá Esporte Clube, usually known simply as Iporá, is a Brazilian football club from Iporá, Goiás. History Founded on 1 January 2000, Iporá immediately joined Campeonato Goiano's second tier and ceased activity after suffering relegation in the following year. It returned to action in 2004, now in the third division, and achieved promotion after finishing second. The club subsequently spent the following campaigns in the second level, and achieved promotion to the first division in 2016, again finishing second. In the following year, the club finished fifth, thus qualifying to the 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D The 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the fourth division. Iporá
Iporá is a municipality in west-central Goiás state, Brazil. The population is around 31,499 (2020) in a total area of 1,026.4 km² (10/10/2002). It is known as the City of the Clear Waters because of its many streams and rivers. Location Iporá is the center of the Iporá Microregion, in the Goiás West Region. The distance to the state capital, Goiânia, is 225 km. and connections are made by highway GO-060 passing through / Trindade / Turvânia / Firminópolis /Nazário / São Luís dos Montes Belos Israelândia. Goiás
Goiás () is a Brazilian state located in the Center-West region. Goiás borders the Federal District and the states of (from north clockwise) Tocantins, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso. The state capital is Goiânia. 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the fourth division. The competition started on 21 April and ended on 4 August 2018. Sixty-eight teams competed in the tournament. Sixty-four teams qualified from their state leagues and cups, and four relegated from the 2017 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (ASA, Macaé, Mogi Mirim and Moto Club). Ferroviário, Imperatriz, São José and Treze qualified for the semi-finals and were promoted to the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. Ferroviário won the title after defeating Treze in the final.
