Dozens of business routes of Interstate 84 (I-84) exist. The existing and former business routes are located along the western and eastern segments of I-84. Idaho Caldwell–Nampa business loop Interstate 84 Business (I-84 Bus) is a business loop of I-84 from exit 27 in Caldwell to exit 38 in Nampa. It forms the terminus of State Highway 45 (SH-45) in downtown Nampa and State Highway 19 (SH-19) in downtown Caldwell. The business loop follows the former alignment of U.S. Route 30 (US 30), which was moved to I-84 in 1985. I-84 Bus. was created in its place. The cities of Caldwell and Nampa requested that the business loop be relinquished by the state in 2019 due to it no longer functioning as a state highway. In 2022, the Idaho Transportation Board approved a proposal to decommission I-84 Bus. and extend SH-19 over a section of it in Caldwell, but await AASHTO approval. A business route (or business loop, business spur, or city route) in the United States is a short special route connected to a ''parent'' numbered highway at its beginning, then routed through the central business district of a nearby city or town, and finally reconnecting with the same ''parent'' numbered highway again at its end. Interstate 84 (I-84) is a part of the Interstate Highway System that links Portland, Oregon, to I-80 near Echo, Utah. The segment in the US state of Utah is the shortest of any of the three states the western I-84 passes through and contains the eastern terminus of the highway. Tremonton is a city in Box Elder County, Utah. The population was 7,647 at the time of the 2010 census. History Although the first settlers came to the Tremonton area in 1888, it remained largely uninhabited until just before 1900, when land agents started promoting the Bear River Valley as a place for Midwestern farmers to relocate. Small groups from Nebraska and Illinois began to arrive in 1898. These settlers were a diverse blend of Protestant faiths, in contrast to their mostly Mormon neighbors.
