Interstate 190 (New York)
Interstate 190 (I-190, locally known as One-Ninety) is a north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway that connects I-90 in Buffalo, New York, with the Canada–US border near Niagara Falls. The freeway bisects downtown Buffalo before crossing Grand Island and traveling around the outskirts of Niagara Falls before crossing the Niagara River on the Lewiston–Queenston Bridge into Ontario. On the Canada side of the Canada–US border, the freeway continues as Ontario Highway 405 (Highway 405), a short spur that connects with the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), which in turn provides a freeway connection to Toronto, Canada's largest city. The route also provides access to the QEW at the Peace Bridge between Buffalo and Fort Erie, Ontario. New York State Thruway Authority
The New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) is a public benefit corporation in New York State, United States. The NYSTA was formed in 1950 with the responsibility of constructing, maintaining, and operating the New York State Thruway, a system of limited-access highways within the state. Organization In August 2017, Matthew J. Driscoll was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo as the Acting Executive Director of the New York State Thruway Authority. The executive officers report to a 6-member board of directors. Auxiliary Interstate Highway
Auxiliary Interstate Highways (also called three-digit Interstate Highways) are a supplemental subset of the freeways within the Interstate Highway System of the United States. Auxiliary routes are generally classified as spur routes, which connect to the parent route at one end, bypasses, which connect to the parent route at both ends, or beltways, which form a complete circle intersecting the parent route at two locations. There are 323 auxiliary Interstates in the United States. There are some routes which connect to the parent route at one end, but connect to another route at the other end; some states treat these as spurs while others treat them as bypasses. Interstate 110 (I-110) is a interstate spur route in El Paso extending from I-10 (I-10), south along U.S. Route 54 (US 54), turns west then turns south into Mexico. I-110 provides access from I-10 to the Bridge of the Americas, which spans the Rio Grande to connect with Avenida Abraham Lincoln in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. New York State Route 384
New York State Route 384 (NY 384) is a state highway in Western New York in the United States. It is a north–south route extending from the city of Buffalo, Erie County to the city of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, and is one of several routes directly connecting the two cities. The southern terminus of the route is at NY 5 in downtown Buffalo. NY 384's northern terminus is at the Rainbow Bridge in downtown Niagara Falls. Through its entire course in Erie County, it is known as Delaware Avenue for the street it follows in the city. In Niagara County, NY 384 follows the Niagara River and is named River Road and Buffalo Avenue. NY 384 was assigned in 1930 to the riverside roadway linking Buffalo to Niagara Falls. Fort Erie is a town on the Niagara River in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. It is directly across the river from Buffalo, New York, and is the site of Old Fort Erie which played a prominent role in the War of 1812. The Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) is a 400-series highway in the Canadian province of Ontario linking Toronto with the Niagara Peninsula and Buffalo, New York. The freeway begins at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie and travels around the western end of Lake Ontario, ending at Highway 427 in Toronto. The physical highway, however, continues as the Gardiner Expressway into downtown Toronto. Ontario Highway 405
King's Highway 405, also known as Highway 405 and the General Brock Parkway, is a 400-Series Highway in the Canadian province of Ontario connecting the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) near St. Catharines with the Lewiston–Queenston Bridge in the village of Queenston. It then crosses the Niagara River, where it encounters the international border with the United States and continues into New York as Interstate 190 (I-190).
