International Institute Of Social Studies
The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam is an independent and international graduate school of policy-oriented critical social science. ISS was established in 1952 by Dutch universities and the Netherlands Ministry of Education. The institution is located in Netherlands, The Hague, also known as 'The World's Legal Capital'. Between 300 and 400 students are enrolled in the ISS programmes, mostly in the Master and PhD programme in Development Studies. In addition to its teaching and research, ISS is active in the fields of advisory work and institutional capacity building projects. ISS alumni come from over 150 different countries. Raqiya Haji Dualeh Abdalla
Raqiya Haji Dualeh Abdalla ( so, Raqiiyaa Xaaji Ducale Cabdille, ar, زاقيي ا حاجي دوالي عبد الله) is a Somali sociologist and politician. She has held a number of senior policy-making posts in governmental, non-governmental and international institutions, including as Vice Minister of Health of Somalia. Oskar Lange
Oskar Ryszard Lange (27 July 1904 – 2 October 1965) was a Polish economist and diplomat. He is best known for advocating the use of market pricing tools in socialist systems and providing a model of market socialism. He responded to the economic calculation problem proposed by Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek by claiming that managers in a centrally-planned economy would be able to monitor supply and demand through increases and declines in inventories of goods, and advocated the nationalization of major industries. Peter Kuenstler
Peter Kuenstler (December 1919 – 16 November 2010) was a British civil servant and consultant in international social affairs and development. Kuenstler was born in Hampstead, London in December 1919. After preparing at the Hall School and Rugby School, he studied classics at Oriel College, Oxford. Dattatreya Gopal Karve ( mr, दत्तात्रेय गोपाळ कर्वे; 24 December 1898 – 28 December 1967) was an Indian economist and professor who contributed to the fields of economics, public administration and the cooperative movement in India. He was also the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 1962 to 1964. Early life and education D.G. Karve was born in Pune, India in 1898. Ashok Mitra (10 April 1928 – 1 May 2018) was an Indian economist and Marxist politician. He was a chief economic adviser to the Government of India and later became finance minister of West Bengal and a member of the Rajya Sabha. Early life and education After completing his graduation from the Dhaka University, University of Dacca, he came to India following the partition of India in 1947. Teferra Wolde-Semait ( gez, ተፈራ ወልደሰማዕት; 11 September 1938 – 25 June 2013) was an Ethiopian politician who has served as Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, and chairman of the board of the National Bank of Ethiopia from 1977 to 1982.
