Intercontinental Futsal Cup
The Intercontinental Futsal Cup is an international club competition for futsal. This is a friendly competition and not a FIFA official trophy. A group of invited clubs from Europe and South America play 3 games against each other. These are generally the Champions but not always (e.g. the European Champion of 2019 Sporting Clube de Portugal was not invited). History The Intercontinental Futsal Cup is held every year. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. Naming ''Futsal'' comes from the Portuguese ''futebol de salão'' and from the Spanish ''fútbol sala'' or ''fútbol de salón'' (all translatable as "indoor football"). MFK Dinamo (russian: МФК «Дина́мо») is a Russian futsal club based in Moscow oblast. Futsal is a variant of association football that is played on a smaller pitch, mainly indoors. It won the UEFA Futsal Cup in 2007. History Futsal club Dinamo was founded in 2002.
