Inter-Provincial T20 Festival
The Inter-Provincial T20 Festival, known for sponsorship reasons as the Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial T20 Festival, is a Twenty20 cricket tournament in Ireland over three days between the four leading cricketing provinces of Ireland. The tournament was first held in July 2018 at Pembroke Cricket Club in Sandymount, Dublin. All four inter-provincial sides in the season long T20 competition, the Inter-Provincial Trophy, will take part. Format The tournament, inaugurated in 2018 is held as a single round-robin format with each team playing each other once, with six matches over three days between 6 and 8 July 2018. Leinster Lightning is one of three provincial cricket teams in Ireland. Along with the North West Warriors and Northern Knights it makes up the Inter-Provincial Championship, Interprovincial One-Day Trophy and Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup. Munster Reds
Munster Reds is an Irish inter-provincial cricket team based in Cork, in the province of Munster. In April 2017, Cricket Ireland approved the participation of the team in the Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup, the highest level of T20 domestic cricket in Ireland. They joined Leinster Lightning, North West Warriors and Northern Knights in the 2017 tournament. They played their first match in the Inter-Provincial Trophy on 26 May 2017, and won their first match, against North West Warriors, on 6 July 2018. MTB Northern Knights is a first-class provincial cricket team in Ireland.
