Inspector Gadget (film)
''Inspector Gadget'' is a 1999 American Superhero film, superhero comedy film directed by David Kellogg and written by Kerry Ehrin and Zak Penn from a story by Ehrin and Dana Olsen. Loosely based on the Inspector Gadget (1983 TV series), 1980s animated television series of the same name, the film stars Matthew Broderick as the title character, Rupert Everett as Dr. Claw, Michelle Trachtenberg as Penny, and Dabney Coleman as Chief Quimby. Three new characters were introduced such as Dr. Brenda Bradford (played by Joely Fisher), Mayor Wilson (played by Cheri Oteri) and the Gadgetmobile (voiced by D. L. Hughley). The film tells the story of how Inspector Gadget and Dr. Claw came to be. Kerry Anne Ehrin (born October 8, 1960) is an American screenwriter, showrunner, and producer. In 1990, she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for her work as a producer on the American Broadcasting Company, ABC comedy-drama series ''The Wonder Years''. In 2011, she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for her work as a producer on the NBC drama series ''Friday Night Lights (TV series), Friday Night Lights''. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement.
