Innfjorden
Innfjorden is a village in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is situated about southwest of the town of Åndalsnes and southeast of the village of Måndalen along the European Route E136 highway. The road from Åndalsnes to Innfjorden goes through the long Innfjord Tunnel, which opened in 1991 after a series of deaths caused by avalanches on the former road along the shore of Romsdal Fjord. The village has a population (2018) of 280 and a population density of . The local economy is mainly based on agriculture, while there is some industry and a few service companies relating to tourism, transportation, and road safety. In addition there is an elementary school, kindergarten, and the small Innfjorden Chapel. Surrounding Innfjorden are tall peaks on the east, south, and west sides with Romsdal Fjord to the north. Innfjorden Chapel
Innfjorden Chapel ( no, Innfjorden bedehuskapell) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Hustadvika Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Innfjorden. It is one of the churches for the Voll parish which is part of the Indre Romsdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, brick church was built in a long church design in 1976 using plans drawn up by the architect Ingvald Moldsvor. The church seats about 200 people. History Historically, the Innfjorden area was part of the Voll Church parish. In 1897, a small wooden prayer house was built in Innfjorden. Innfjord Tunnel
The Innfjord Tunnel ( no, Innfjordtunnelen) is a long road tunnel in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The tunnel goes between the Gridset farm on the north side of the village of Innfjorden and the large village of Veblungsnes, near the mouth of the Rauma River. The tunnel is part of the European Route E136 highway. The tunnel opened in 1991 and replaced a narrow and curvy section of the E136 highway that used to follow the shore of the Romsdalsfjorden. Romsdal Fjord
