''Inner Dance'' is a 2010 solo album written and produced by Italian jazz guitarist Fabrizio Sotti. The album was recorded at both Avatar Studios and Sotti Studios in New York City in February and April 2009. ''Inner Dance'' was recorded and mixed by Roy Hendrickson, with additional recording by Fabrizio Sotti and Giorgio Piovan. The album is dedicated to Sotti's mother, Cristina, and was released by E1 Entertainment. Fabrizio Sotti
Fabrizio Sotti (born April 27, 1975, Padova, Italy) is a guitarist, composer, producer and songwriter. In addition to jazz, Sotti plays in the styles of bebop, jazz fusion, soul, hip hop, R&B and pop. He has worked with the likes of Al Foster, Randy Brecker, John Patitucci, Mino Cinelu, Roy Hargrove, Cassandra Wilson, Shaggy, Melanie Fiona, Jennifer Lopez, Ice-T, Tupac, Q-Tip, K'naan, M-1 (rapper), Dead Prez, Hell Razah, Paolo Fresu, Zucchero, Mondo Marcio, Mina, Clementino among many others. Equipment Sotti endorses D'Angelico Guitars. His 2015 Fabrizio Sotti Signature Model, the EX-SS/FS, is based on the EX-SS with the addition of Seymour Duncan pick ups (SH2 and SH4), Sperzel machine heads, jumbo frets and reduced wood block for maximum resonance of the hollow body. Right Now is a 2013 studio album released by Italian-American Jazz guitarist Fabrizio Sotti. The album is notable for its blending of Sotti's backgrounds as a jazz musician, hip-hop producer, and pop songwriter across collaborations with Shaggy, Ice-T, Tony Grey, Mino Cinelu, Zucchero, Melanie Fiona, Isabella Lundgren, M1 of Dead Prez, and more. The album was recorded at Fabrizio's Sotti Studios in NYC and mixed at Piety Studios in New Orleans by legendary engineer John Fishback, while Sotti produced and arranged all of the songs on the album. Jazz Guitarist
Jazz guitarists are guitarists who play jazz using an approach to chords, melodies, and improvised solo lines which is called jazz guitar playing. The guitar has fulfilled the roles of accompanist ( rhythm guitar) and soloist in small and large ensembles and also as an unaccompanied solo instrument. Until the 1930s, jazz bands used banjo because the banjo's metallic twang was easier to hear than the acoustic guitar when competing with trumpets, trombones, and drums. The banjo could be heard more easily, too, on wax cylinders in the early days of audio recording. The invention of the archtop increased the guitar's volume, and in the hands of Eddie Lang guitar became a solo instrument for the first time. Power Station at BerkleeNYC, formerly known as Avatar Studios (1996–2017) and Power Station, is a recording studio at 441 West 53rd Street between Ninth and Tenth avenues in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City. The building contains 5 studio spaces: A, B, C, G, and E, as well as a black box theater. History The building was originally a Consolidated Edison power plant. In 1977, it was rebuilt as a recording studio by producer Tony Bongiovi and his partner Bob Walters. The complex was renamed Avatar Studios (under the Avatar Entertainment Corporation) in May 1996. Sam Barsh
Sam Barsh (born 1981) is a Grammy-nominated American songwriter, keyboardist and record producer. He has worked in the genres of jazz, R&B, hip hop and pop. Biography Barsh was born in Chicago, IL, and began playing piano at the age of 4. He attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL and William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Barsh moved to New York City in 2001 and currently resides in Los Angeles. Career From 2003 to 2006 Barsh was a member of the band of bassist Avishai Cohen, with whom he toured the world extensively.
