Ingo Hoffman
Ingo Hoffmann (born February 28, 1953) is a Brazilian retired racing driver from São Paulo (city), São Paulo. He is most well known for winning the Stock Car Brasil, Brazilian Stock Car Championship 12 times (1980, 1985, 1989-1994, 1996-1998 and 2002). He also participated in six Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on January 25, 1976. He scored no championship points. History Early career Hoffman began his career in Brazil competing in Formula Vee and saloon cars. He came to England in 1975 and competed in Formula Three in a March Engineering, March, before moving into Formula One in 1976. Formula One years Hoffmann's Formula One career was hindered by the financial problems of the Fittipaldi (constructor), Fittipaldi team, and he drove the team's second car when realistically the team could only afford to run one. Stock Car Brasil
Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. The series is composed by 12 rounds, with the most important race, the Corrida do Milhão (English: ''The'' ''Million Race'') being worth double points and has a prize pool of R$1 million. The competition has seen many internationally famous drivers on its ranks, such as Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa, Jacques Villeneuve, Lucas di Grassi, Nelson Piquet Jr., Ricardo Zonta, Tony Kanaan and António Félix da Costa.
