Inger Aufles
Inger Aufles (née ''Døving'' on 29 May 1941) is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier who competed during the 1960s and 1970s. She won three Winter Olympic medals with a gold (3 × 5 km relay: 1968) and two bronzes (10 km: 1968, 3 × 5 km relay: 1972). Aufles also earned a silver in the 3 × 5 km relay at the 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo. She won the national championships in 1968 and 1969, in the 10 km and 5 km respectively. She was born in Valldal, and in 1961 moved to Mosjøen Mosjøen (; sma, Mussere) is a town in Vefsn Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Mosjøen is the oldest town in the Helgeland region, with only the town of Bodø being older within Nordland county. Valldal
Sylte or Valldal is a village in Fjord Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is situated at the southern end of the Valldalen valley along the shore of the Norddalsfjorden near the mouth of the Valldøla river, just west of the entrance to the Tafjorden. The village has a population (2012) of 411. This gives the village a population density of . The village is located about northeast of the village of Eidsdal (across the fjord), and it is about northwest of the village of Tafjord which is accessed via several long tunnels including the Heggur Tunnel. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1970 took place 14–22 February 1970 in Vysoké Tatry, Czechoslovakia (present-day Slovakia). This was the second time this city hosted the event having done so in 1935. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1966 took place 17–27 February 1966 in Oslo, Norway at the Holmenkollen ski arena.
