Information Technology And Broadcasting Bureau
The Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau (, ITBB) is a former policy bureau of the Government of Hong Kong, which was responsible for managing Hong Kong's broadcasting services, developing the film industry, promoting Hong Kong's telecommunications, and providing support to the application of Information Technology within the Government. It was headed by Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting. The bureau was established in April 1999 to replace the Broadcasting, Culture and Sport Bureau, and lasted until 1 July 2002, when it was merged with the Trade and Industry Bureau to form the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau. The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry (), formerly Secretary for Innovation and Technology (), is a Hong Kong Government position created in 2015 by the Leung Chun-ying government after years-long opposition of the pan-democracy camp. The predecessor, Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting (), was created in 1998 by merging the previous portfolios of the Secretary for Broadcasting, Culture and Sport and the Secretary for Trade and Industry. Head of the Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, the secretary is responsible for managing Hong Kong's broadcasting services, developing the film industry, promoting Hong Kong's telecommunications, and providing support to the application of Information Technology within the Government. Broadcasting, Culture And Sport Bureau
Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) is one of the fifteen policy bureaux of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The bureau is responsible for the policy portfolios of culture, sports and tourism. The agency was established on 1 July 2022. The current (since 1 July 2022) Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism is Kevin Yeung. History The bureau was newly established under the re-organization of policy bureaux proposed by Carrie Lam, the fifth Chief Executive of Hong Kong, and was adopted by John Lee, the succeeding Chief Executive after Carrie Lam. Trade And Industry Bureau
The Trade and Industry Bureau () is a former policy bureau of the Hong Kong Government, responsible for promoting Hong Kong's access to the world market, helping Hong Kong manufacturers remain competitive in international markets, enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights, and promoting Hong Kong customers' interests. It was headed by Secretary for Trade and Industry.
