Infierno En El Ring (2009)
Infierno en el Ring 2009 (Spanish language, Spanish for "Inferno in the Ring") was a professional wrestling major show event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) that took place on July 31, 2009 in Arena Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico. The show consisted of five matches, the main event being the traditional CMLL ''Infierno en el Ring'' multi-man Professional wrestling match types#Cages, Steel Cage match where all the competitors risked their hair. This year 15 man participated in the steel cage match, which was the highest number ever for a CMLL ''Lucha de Apuestas'' (bet match). The match saw Tetsuya Naito, Naito pin Tarzan Boy (wrestler), Toscano to win the match; afterwards Toscano's hair was shaved off in the middle of the ring. Tetsuya Naito
is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he is the leader of the ''Los Ingobernables de Japón'' faction. Tetsuya Naito began training for a professional wrestling career in 2000, initially under Animal Hamaguchi before joining NJPW in 2004, where he underwent further training. Damián Gutiérrez Hernández (born April 12, 1976), better known by his ring name El Terrible, is a Mexican professional wrestler who currently works for the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). José Casas Ruiz (born January 10, 1960) is a Mexican professional wrestler (called a ''Luchador'' in Spanish) and trainer working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ring name Negro Casas. In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy" or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans, and acts as a protagonist to the heels, who are the villainous antagonist or "bad guy" characters. Traditionally, they wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating (in contrast to the villains who use illegal moves and call in additional wrestlers to do their work for them) while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects.
