Alexis Infante
Fermín Alexis Infante Carpio (born December 4, 1961) is a former Venezuelan professional baseball utility infielder. Listed at 5' 10", 175 lb., he batted and threw right handed. Born in Barquisimeto, Lara, Infante played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves in a span of four seasons from 1987–1990. In the 1980s, the Blue Jays called Infante its best defensive shortstop in the American League next to Chicago's Ozzie Guillén. Infante had exceptional range and enough arm to make a throw from the hole, but he was unable to help himself with the bat. In a four-season career, Infante was mostly used as a late-inning defense replacement as well as a pinch runner. He posted a .109 batting average with 11 runs scored and one stolen base without home runs or RBI in 60 game appearances. José Miguel Infante y Rojas (March 1778 - April 9, 1844) was a Chilean statesman and political figure. He served several times as deputy and minister, and was the force behind the Federalist movement in that country. Early life He was born in Santiago, the son of Agustín Infante y Prado and of Rosa Rojas. He studied law in the College of San Carlos, and was admitted to practice in 1806. From a very young age, he was very inclined to study political philosophy and to read the classics. His maternal uncle, José Antonio de Rojas motivated him by granting him access to his library, at that point the most extensive in Chile. A native of Osuna, Infante studied piano and composition with Enrique Morera, and settled in Paris in 1909. His most significant music was written for piano, and included 2 suites for two pianos. Omar Rafael Infante n-FAHN-tay(born December 26, 1981) is a Venezuelan former professional baseball second baseman. Pedro Infante Cruz (; 18 November 1917 – 15 April 1957) was a Mexican ranchera music singer and actor, whose career spanned the golden age of Mexican cinema. His popularity spread across Latin America. Infante was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and raised in nearby Guamúchil. He died on 15 April 1957 in Mérida, Yucatán, while en route to Mexico City when his plane crashed due to engine failure.
