Indicator (Onward To Olympas Album)
''Indicator'' is the third and final studio album from Onward to Olympas. Facedown Records released the album on October 9, 2012. Onward to Olympas worked with Taylor Larson, in the production of this album. Critical reception Awarding the album two stars from ''Alternative Press'', Dan Slessor states, "''Indicator'' is a record for the already converted, and there’s nothing wrong with that, per se." Ian Webber, rating the album a seven out of ten for Cross Rhythms, writes, "With this release OTO have produced a competent third recording. It may well be lost amongst more established acts but will certainly be appreciated by their fans." Giving the album four stars at Jesus Freak Hideout, Scott Fryberger says, "Onward To Olympas have another solid hardcore album in ''Indicator''." Onward To Olympas
Onward to Olympas was an American metalcore band from Salisbury, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2013. Their membership was vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, Nick Helvey. The band released one independently made album, ''The End of the Beginning'', in 2007, and their lone extended play, ''Victory at All Costs'', in 2008. Their first studio album, '' This World Is Not My Home'', was released by Facedown Records, in 2010. The subsequent studio album, '' The War within Us'', was released by Facedown Records, in 2011. Christian metal, also known as white metal, Jesus metal or heavenly metal, is heavy metal music distinguished by its Christian themed song lyrics and the dedication of the band members to Christianity. Christian metal is typically performed by professed Christians, principally for Christians and is often produced and distributed through various Christian networks. Christian metal bands exist in most of the subgenres of heavy metal music, and the only common link among most Christian metal bands are the lyrics. Facedown Records is a Christian rock record label based in Fallbrook, California that is devoted to hardcore punk and metalcore bands (Christian and secular) with a few death metal acts such as Immortal Souls and Indwelling. Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources about contemporary Christian music. For Today was an American Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, Iowa, formed in 2005. They released two EPs, ''Your Moment, Your Life, Your Time'' and ''Prevailer'', and six full-length albums: '' Ekklesia'' in, 2008, ''Portraits'' in 2009, ''Breaker'' in 2010, ''Immortal'' in 2012, ''Fight the Silence'' in 2014, and '' Wake'' in 2015. The band split up in 2016. History For Today was founded in 2005 by Ryan Leitru, Mike Reynolds, David Morrison, and Jon Lauters. Dave Quiggle is an American guitarist in the hardcore punk genre. He played for various projects such as xDISCIPLEx A.D., No Innocent Victim, Shockwave, and Jesus Wept. He currently works for Facedown Records as a graphic designer. Personal life Quiggle is married to Shannon Quiggle, (since 1999) a fellow employee of Facedown Records. Dan Quiggle, xDISCIPLEx A.D.'s vocalist, is Dave's brother. Quiggle is an outspoken Christian.
