Indianerna (the Indians) are a Swedish motorcycle speedway team based in Kumla, Sweden. The club's official name is Kumla MSK and it was founded in 1936 which makes the club one of the oldest motorsport clubs in Sweden. Indianerna was one of the seven teams that competed in Sweden's first speedway league in 1948. The team has won the Swedish Speedway Team Championship two times, in 1990 and 1991. The Swedish Speedway Team Championship is the team championship of speedway in Sweden. Season by season History The Championship was introduced in 1950. In 1982 the Championship was renamed with a new league called the Elitserien being introduced. previously the highest league had been known as the Allsvenskan but since 1982 it has been the second tier of Swedish speedway. Between 1986 and 1999 the team that finished top of the league were declared champions because there was no play off. Elitserien (speedway)
Elitserien (literally, "The Elite Series") ( sv, Elitserien i speedway) is the highest league in the league system of speedway in Sweden and currently comprises the top 7 Swedish speedway teams. The first season began in 1982. Glottra Skog Arena
The Glottra Skog Arena or Sannaheds Motorstadion is a 15,000-capacity motorcycle speedway stadium, south of Kumla in Sweden. The Arena is the home venue of the speedway team called Indianerna who race in the Eliserien, which is the highest league in Swedish speedway. The primary 500c track measures 375 metres in circumference, while a smaller 80cc track is 175 metres. The stadium called the (Kumla Motorstadion) at the time, was built in 1946 and attracted 23,000 to the first meeting on 16 June 1946. The venue also staged ice racing speedway. The track staged the 1953 Continental Speedway Final which formed part of the 1953 Individual Speedway World Championship and then hosted international meetings. Niels Kristian Trochmann Iversen (, born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is an international motorcycle speedway rider. He was part of the Danish teams that won the Speedway World Cup in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. Early life Niels-Kristian Trochmann was born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark to Ann Marie and Flemming Iversen. Growing up with older brother Soren, Iversen decided he want to be a speedway rider. His local town Esbjerg had a track where Iversen began to learn his desired trade. Quickly moving up the ranks in Denmark, his first title came in 1994 at the 50cc Danish Individual Championship. Jonatan Grahn (born 15 October 2000) is a speedway rider from Sweden. Speedway career Grahn came to prominence in 2020, when he reached the final and finished fifth in the 2020 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. The following year in 2021, he represented Sweden in the Team Speedway Junior World Championship final. Andreas Lyager Hansen (born 1 December 1997) is a speedway rider from Denmark. Speedway career Lyager joined Scunthorpe Scorpions for the 2015 Premier League speedway season and 2016 Premier League speedway season. Lyager reached two finals of the World Under-21 Championships in 2017 and 2018 and was the Danish Junior champion in 2018, following two silver medals in the previous two years. Christopher Robert Holder (born 24 September 1987 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian speedway rider currently riding for Lejonen in the Swedish Elitserien and for Apator Toruń in the Polish Speedway Ekstraliga. He became the Australian Individual Speedway Champion in 2008 and followed up with wins in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014 (he was runner up in 2009) as well as winning the Australian Under-21 Championship in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Antonio Lindbäck (born 5 May 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider who competed in the Speedway World Championship, finishing eighth in 2016, and was a member of the Swedish team who won the Speedway World Cup in 2004 and 2015. Career highlights Lindbäck made his international debut in 2004 with firstly a wild card ride in the Speedway Grand Prix series but he made a bigger impression in the Speedway World Cup riding for the Swedish team.
