The Indian Secular Front (abbreviation: ISF) is an Indian political party formed in West Bengal by Abbas Siddiqui, an influential cleric of the shrine of Furfura Sharif in Hooghly district. History This party was formed ahead of the West Bengal Assembly election of 2021 and has joined the Sanjukta Morcha, or Mahajot, led by the Left Front and the Indian National Congress against the Trinamool Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party contested the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election in 38 seats and won in 1 seat. The party fought election under the borrowed symbol of Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party, a Bihar-based political party. Abbas Siddiqui
Pirzada Md. Abbas Siddique (born 1987) is an Islamic scholar, social activist and Indian politician who founded the Indian Secular Front political party in 2021. He is a cleric of the Furfura Sharif in Hooghly, West Bengal and is the scion of the Siddique family, which is the founder and custodian of the Furfura Sharif. Early life Abbas Siddiqui was born to Pirzada Ali Akbar Siddiqui. He is the great-grandson of Mohammad Abu Bakr Siddique who established the ''Silsila-e-Furfura'' (''Order of Furfura Sharif'') and is the nephew of Toha Siddiqui. Siddiqui has studied Islamic Theology from Furfura Fatehia Senior Madrasah. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury (born 2 April 1956) is an Indian politician serving as the leader of the Indian National Congress in the 17th Lok Sabha and the Member of Parliament from Berhampore. He is also the current president of West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee following the demise of Somendra Nath Mitra.
