Indian Dunes
Indian Dunes was a film ranch owned by Newhall Land & Farming Company. Located near the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park in Valencia, California, United States, it was a favorite of filmmakers for its versatility and location within the thirty-mile zone until its owners returned the site to farming in 1990 following a reduced interest in the kind of action television programs and films that had been produced there. The company reportedly grossed up to $600,000 in 1990 ($1.3 million in 2021 dollars). A movie ranch is a ranch that is at least partially dedicated for use as a set in the creation and production of motion pictures and television shows. These were developed in the United States in southern California, because of the climate. The first such facilities were all within the studio zone, often in the foothills of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Simi Valley in the U.S. state of California. Movie ranches were developed in the 1920s for location shooting in Southern California to support the making of popular Western (genre), western films. Vic Morrow
Victor Morrow (born Victor Morozoff; February 14, 1929 – July 23, 1982) was an American actor. He came to prominence as one of the leads of the ABC drama series ''Combat!'' (1962–1967), which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Continued Performance by an Actor in a Series. Active on screen for over three decades, his film roles include ''Blackboard Jungle'' (1955), ''King Creole'' (1958), ''God's Little Acre'' (1958), '' Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry'' (1974), and ''The Bad News Bears'' (1976). Morrow continued acting up to his death during filming of '' Twilight Zone: The Movie'' (1983) when he and two child actors were killed by a helicopter crash during filming. Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. ''84C MoPic'' (also known as ''84 Charlie MoPic''; released in the Philippines as ''Platoon 2'') is a 1989 American independent found footage war drama film written and directed by Patrick Sheane Duncan. Premise The film is a mock documentary of a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) mission during the Vietnam War. The point of view is from a cameraman following a LRRP team on a five-day patrol deep in "Indian Country" (territory controlled by the North Vietnamese). The Fixx are a rock band from London, England, founded in 1979.
