India Women's Cricket Team In New Zealand In 2021–22
The India women's cricket team toured New Zealand in February 2022. The tour consisted of five Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and one Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I). The WODI matches were used as preparation for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup, also taking place in New Zealand. The initial tour schedule had matches in North New Zealand. However, on 27 January 2022, New Zealand Cricket announced a change to the itinerary, with all the matches being held at the John Davies Oval. New Zealand won the one-off WT20I match by 18 runs following an all-round performance from Lea Tahuhu. New Zealand won the first WODI match by 62 runs after Suzie Bates scored a century. Sophie Frances Monique Devine (born 1 September 1989) is a New Zealand sportswoman, who has represented New Zealand in both cricket for the New Zealand national women's cricket team (''White Ferns''), and in field hockey as a member of the New Zealand women's national field hockey team (''Black Sticks Women''). Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Taniya Bhatia (born 28 November 1997) is an Indian cricketer. She is primarily a wicket-keeper. She plays for Punjab and India. She is currently trained under coach RP Singh. The International Cricket Council (ICC) named Bhatia as one of the five breakout stars in women's cricket in 2018. Early life She was born to Sapna and Sanjay Bhatia in Chandigarh.
