''Impulse'' is the debut studio album by American progressive metalcore band Erra. It was released on November 30, 2011 through Tragic Hero Records and was produced by Brian Hood. It is their only album with founding bassist Adam Hicks. Erra (band)
Erra (stylized as ERRA) is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released five studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled '' Erra'', was released on March 19, 2021. They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July. Progressive metalcore (also called technical metalcore or ambient metalcore) is a fusion of progressive metal and metalcore characterized by highly technical lead guitar, "atmospheric" elements, and complex instrumentation. Brian Hood
Brian David Hood (born November 16, 1986) is an American record producer and owner of 456 Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the former and original drummer of Solid State Records band MyChildren MyBride.
