Imane Khelif ( ar, إيمان خليف, ʾĪmān Khalīf) is an Algerian amateur boxer. She represented Algeria in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Career In the New Delhi 2018 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships, Imane Khelif participated for the first time, where she ranked 17th after being eliminated from the first round. Then she represented Algeria in the 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships held in Russia, where she ranked 33rd after being eliminated from the first round against Natalia Shadrina. Khelif represented Algeria in the Boxing at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's lightweight, lightweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She was defeated by Ireland at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Ireland's Kellie Harrington in the quarterfinals. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. The first champion of this weight class was Pinky Mitchell in 1946, though he was only awarded his championship by a vote of the readers of the ''Boxing Blade'' magazine. The 2023 IBA Women's World Boxing Championships were the 13th edition of the championships, held in New Delhi, India from 15 to 26 March 2023. Amy Broadhurst
Amy Sara Broadhurst (born 17 March 1997) is an Irish amateur boxer. She is the 2022 IBA World Light-welterweight champion, and won the gold medal in the lightweight division at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Broadhurst represented Ireland in the light welterweight division at the 2018 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships. Chelsey Heijnen (born 2 May 1999) is a Dutch amateur boxer who won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships. Biography Heijnen started with playing rugby. She was given the advice to improve her footwork through boxing, and she continued with boxing. As a junior, Heijnen became European champion in Sofia 2017. In 2019 she won the silver medal at the Strandja Cup in the 64 kg category. Heijnen was nominated to become 2019 Roosendaal sportswomen of the year.
