The Iloilo Football Association is a Filipino football association based in Iloilo City. It works under the Philippine Football Federation as provincial football association for the Iloilo province area. The Iloilo FA sends a team to represent the region in the yearly PFF National Men's Club Championship. Most of competitions formed by the association is played in the 10,000 capacity Iloilo Sports Complex. Most successful teams and players comes from Barotac Nuevo, 27 km north of the city. The town counts Chieffy Caligdong as one of its product. Sta. Barbara and La Paz likewise develops skilled players who played in the national level. Iloilo City, officially the City of Iloilo ( hil, Siyudad/Dakbanwa sang Iloilo; fil, Lungsod ng Iloilo), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines on the island of Panay. The Philippine Football Federation National Men's Club Championship was an annual football competition organized by the Philippine Football Federation and contested by Filipino clubs. It lasted for four seasons from 2011 to 2014–15. Iloilo Sports Complex
Iloilo Sports Complex, also known as the Iloilo Sports Center is a multi-use sports complex in La Paz, Iloilo City, La Paz, Iloilo City, Philippines and is the venue of athletic events in Iloilo province and Western Visayas and occasionally hosts large gatherings such as concerts. Its main stadium, the Main Stadium, has a seating capacity of 7,000. Iloilo Sports Complex includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, an oval running track, a association football, football field, two volleyball courts, two basketball courts, two tennis courts and four badminton courts. An indoor gymnasium is located 200 meters away from the main site. The athletics track underwent repair in 2014 which costed though it had to be rehabilitated again due to the number of sporting events hosted by the venue. Chieffy Caligdong
Emelio "Chieffy" Asada Caligdong (born September 28, 1982) is a Filipino football head coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Ontario Development League Boys under-15 team, and also an assistant coach for North Mississauga SC's under-13 team. Caligdong played as a left winger for the Philippines national team, of which he is a former captain. At the club level, he played for Philippine Air Force and Green Archers United of the United Football League. At that time, he was also an enlisted member of the Philippine Air Force. La Paz () is one of the seven districts of Iloilo City in the Philippine province of Iloilo, on the island of Panay, in the region of Western Visayas. Stallion Laguna Football Club is a Filipino professional football club based in Biñan, Laguna. The club competes in the Philippines Football League, the top tier of football in the Philippines. In 2002, the club was founded as Stallion Football Club. The club competed in the Metro Manila-based United Football League, earning promotion to Division 1 after finishing as runners-up in the 2011 season.
