Illimar Truverk
Illimar Truverk (born March 20, 1967, in Tallinn) is an Estonian architect. Truverk studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts in the department of architecture and city planning, graduating in 2001. Since then he has worked for the architectural bureau Agabus, Endjärv & Truverk OÜ. Truverk has also been active in the architectural bureau Allianss Arhitektid OÜ beginning in 2009. His notable works include the Viimsi School, the new building of the Tallinn University, the villa in Otepää and the new library of the Tallinn Technical University. Truverk is a member of the Union of Estonian Architects. Viimsi School, 2009
Viimsi (german: Wiems) is a small borough ( et, alevik) in Harju County, Estonia, about northeast of the centre of Tallinn, just north of Tallinn's subdistrict Merivälja. Viimsi is the administrative centre of Viimsi Parish. As of the 2011 census, its population was 2,341. Viimsi Manor, which was established by St. Brigitta Nunnery (in Pirita), was first mentioned in 1471 as ''Wiems''. After the Great Northern War, the manor had multiple owners, among them the Stenbock, Buxhoeveden, Maydell and Schottländer families. After the dispossession in 1919 the manor was given to the Commander-in-chief of the Estonian Army, General Johan Laidoner, who owned it until 1940. During World War II, it was used by the Red Army. Nõmme
Nõmme ( Estonian for ''"Heath"'') is one of the 8 administrative districts ( et, linnaosa) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It has a population of 39,422 () and covers an area of , population density is . The district is largely a middle-class suburban area, mostly consisting of listed private homes from the 1920s and 1930s and is sometimes referred to as the "Forest Town." History Nõmme was founded by Nikolai von Glehn, the owner of Jälgimäe Manor, in 1873 as a summerhouse district. The development started around the railway station. In 1926 it was granted town rights, but in the beginning of the Soviet occupation in 1940, it was merged with Tallinn and remains as one of the eight districts of Tallinn to date. Mattias Agabus (born 14 September 1977) is an Estonian architect. He studied in the Estonian Academy of Arts in the department of architecture and city planning, graduating from the academy in 2001. Mattias Agabus is a member of the Union of Estonian Architects. From 2000 to 2001 he worked in the Arhitektuuriagentuur OÜ architectural bureau. Eero Endjärv (born 24 January 1973 in Tallinn) is an Estonian architect. From 1988 to 1991, he studied in the . From 1991 to 1995, he studied in the Tallinn Technical University. From 1995, he studied in the Estonian Academy of Arts in the department of architecture and city planning. He graduated from the academy in 2001. Since 2001, Endjärv has worked in the architectural bureau Agabus, Endjärv & Truverk OÜ as an architect and partner. Since 2009, he has also been active in the Allianss Arhitektid OÜ architectural bureau. Pirita
Pirita is one of the eight administrative districts ( et, linnaosa) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Pirita occupies a relatively big area, but compared to other districts of Tallinn its population of 17,592 (as of 1 November 2014) is relatively small. It mostly consists of private houses, instead of the large blocks of flats typical of some other districts of Tallinn, such as Lasnamäe and Mustamäe. Union Of Estonian Architects
Union of Estonian Architects (or Estonian Association of Architects, EAA; et, Eesti Arhitektide Liit) organizes architects, landscape architects and architecture researchers. EAA re-established 27 June 1989. EAA is a legal successor of ''Estonian Association of Architects'', which was established on 8 October 1921. Since 2010 the head of EAA is Peeter Pere. Every year EAA gives out annual prize to Estonian architects or to Estonian architectural firms who have projected the most notable structure in the past year. Established in 1918, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech; et, Tallinna Tehnikaülikool) is the only technical university in Estonia. Otepää
Otepää (formerly Nuustaku) is a town in Valga County, southern Estonia, it is the administrative centre of Otepää Parish. Otepää is a popular skiing resort, popularly known as the "winter capital" of Estonia (in contrast to the "summer capital" Pärnu). During the 2005–2006 season it became the site for FIS Cross-Country World Cup events. The name "Otepää" means "Ott's Head" in South Estonian, where ''ott'' is an euphemism for "bear".
