Hanna Dresner-Tzakh ( he, חנה דרזנר; born 17 September 1947), better known by her stage name Ilanit (, ), is an Israeli singer. She was one of Israel's most popular singers from the late 1960s to the 1980s, both as a soloist and in the duo ''Ilan ve-Ilanit. Ilanit also represented Israel twice in the Eurovision Song Contest. In a career spanning over 4 decades, Ilanit recorded and produced over 600 songs and more than 30 best-selling albums. Biography Hanna Dresner (later Ilanit) was born in Tel Aviv after her parents immigrated from Poland. In 1953, at the age of 5, the family moved to Brazil where they joined a number of South American acts. In 1960, at the age of 13, Ilanit moved back to Israel. Israel has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 44 times since making its debut in . "Ey Sham" (Hebrew script: ; translation: "Somewhere") is a song by Israeli singer Ilanit, written in Hebrew by Ehud Manor and composed by Nurit Hirsh, and recorded in several other languages. The song is 's debut entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, competing at its 1973 edition where it held the highest place record for a new country, and came close to top the Israeli Hebrew national charts for song of the year. Nurit Hirsh ( he, נורית הירש, b. Tel Aviv, August 13, 1942) is an Israeli composer, arranger and conductor who has written over a thousand Hebrew songs. Three of her most famous and widely known songs are ''Ba-Shanah ha-Ba'ah'' (''Next Year'', lyrics by Ehud Manor), ''Oseh Shalom bi-Meromav'' (text from the Kaddish prayer). and A-Ba-Ni-Bi, the winning entry in the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest. Yoram Taharlev ( he, יורם טהרלב; 24 January 1938 – 6 January 2022) was an Israeli poet, lyricist, and author. He wrote lyrics for hundreds of songs recorded by prominent composers and performers. Biography Yoram Taharlev was born on Kibbutz Yagur to Yaffa Yitzikovitz and the author and poet Haim Taharlev. During his military service, he served as a reporter for the army newspapers ''Bamahane Gadna'' and ''Bamahane Nahal''. In 1963, Taharlev met poet Nurit Zarchi while they were philosophy majors at Tel Aviv University. In August 1963, they married. They had two daughters, artist Roni Taharlev and Arela. At the beginning, Taharlev and Zarchi lived in kibbutz Yagur, where their elder daughter Roni was born, but later moved to Petah Tikva and from there to Rishon LeZion and eventually to Tel Aviv.
