Ikot Akpatek
Ikot Akpartek is a village in Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria. A coastal location, it has been proposed as a location to build a Panamax port. In the past it has been at the center of controversies as the village council has tried to take over some of the historical lands held by some women in the village. It is also the headquarters location of a stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is also has some Pentecostal churches. It is the location of a congregation of the Church of the Nazarene. Akwa Ibom
Akwa Ibom State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered on the east by Cross River State, on the west by Rivers State and Abia State, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean. The state takes its name from the Qua Iboe River which bisects the state before flowing into the Bight of Bonny. Akwa Ibom was split from Cross River State in 1987 with its capital Uyo and with 31 local government areas. Of the 36 states, Akwa Ibom is the 30th largest in area and fifteenth most populous with an estimated population of nearly 5.5 million as of 2016. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel (born 11 July 1966) is a Nigerian politician who is currently the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, in office since 29 May 2015.
