Igors Tarasovs
Igors Tarasovs (born 16 October 1988) is a Latvian footballer, who plays for Ypsonas FC and is also a member of Latvia national football team. Club career As a youth player Tarasovs played for JFC Skonto and was taken to the first team in 2006. Making just one first team appearance, he was soon loaned out to the unofficial Skonto Riga farm-team Olimps/RFS to get playing practice. During his loan spell from 2007 to 2008 Tarasovs played 50 matches and scored 2 goals. He returned to Skonto in 2009, becoming a first eleven player. Representing the club for 3 years Tarasovs made 84 league appearances and scored eleven goals, becoming the Latvian champion in 2010 and the Baltic League champion in 2011. SC Kuopio Futis-98 (abbreviated SC KuFu-98 or KuFu-98) is a football club from Kuopio, Finland. The club was formed in 1998 and their home ground is Savon Sanomat Areena. Latvian Football Cup
The Latvian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Latvian football. Since 2021, its full name is Responsible Game Latvian Football Cup (''Atbildīgas spēles Latvijas kauss'') due to the sponsorship by sports betting company William Hill. The tournament was launched in 1937, replacing the previous knockout tournament – the Riga Football Cup. The competition is a knockout (single elimination) tournament. From 1937 to 2008 and again since 2017, all of the games of the tournament are played within the year. Latvian Higher League or Virslīga is a professional football league and the top tier of association football in Latvia. Organised by the Latvian Football Federation, the Higher League is contested by 10 clubs. The full name of the league is Optibet Virslīga for sponsorship reasons since 2019. Andrejs Rubins
Andrejs Rubins (26 November 1978 – 1 August 2022) was a Latvian professional footballer who played as a left midfielder. He was a member of the Latvia national team. Rubins worked as a football manager. Club career Born in Riga, Rubins started his career in 1996 at FK Auda in the Latvian 2nd Division. The following year he moved to Sweden with Östers IF, where he made 11 league appearances before moving back to Latvia in 1998 to play for Skonto Riga. He played there for the next three seasons, and managed to win three consecutive league titles in a row. He also won the Latvian Cup twice. Baltic League
The Baltic League (officially known as the Triobet Baltic League) was a Baltic men's football club tournament held four times between the top club sides from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Launched in 2007 inspired by the now defunct Scandinavian tournament Royal League and by the Baltic Basketball League.
