Ignacio Conti
Ignacio Conti (born 5 November 1977) is a Uruguayan former rugby union player who played as lock or as number eight. Career At club level, Conti played for Carrasco Polo Club. His first cap for Uruguay was on 22 September 2002, against Namibia, in Montevideo. He was also part of the 2003 Rugby World Cup Uruguay squad, where he only played the match against Samoa. His last cap for Uruguay was against Scotland A, in Bucharest Bucharest ( , ; ro, București ) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. Montevideo () is the Capital city, capital and List of cities in Uruguay, largest city of Uruguay. Rugby Union Positions
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. Samoa National Rugby Union Team
The Samoa national rugby union team (also known as Manu Samoa) represents Samoa in men's international rugby union and it is governed by the Samoa Rugby Union. They are also known as Manu Samoa, which is thought to derive from the name of a Samoan warrior. They perform a traditional Samoan challenge called the siva tau before each game.
