''Neō Wax Bloom'' is the debut studio album by English electronic musician Seamus Malliagh under his recording alias Iglooghost, released on 29 September 2017 on Brainfeeder. Characterised by complex and energetic song structures, ''Neō Wax Bloom'' is a maximalist album which "dismantle any notion of genre before putting the pieces back together in tsown unique way". The album peaked at number nine on ''Billboard''s American Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart, and received generally positive critical reception upon initial release. Background Malliagh had wanted to create a full-length studio album since the beginning of his career using the recording alias Iglooghost, but said that he felt he needed to "find a reason to justify making one"; getting to the "eureka moment" of making an album involved "years and years of tantrums and smashing up my stuff in fits of rage". Malliagh began work on ''Neō Wax Bloom'' in 2016, with the first track made for the LP being "Bug Thief", a ...

Chinese Nü Yr
''Chinese Nü Yr'' is an extended play (EP) by producer Seamus Malliagh, known by his stage name Iglooghost, released on the Brainfeeder label on 30 October 2015. Containing elements of footwork, bass, grime and 2-step garage, the EP's sound is represented by a worm who goes through several nonsensical lands. To make ''Chinese Nü Yr'', Malliagh first designed the cover art and then developed songs with structures and sound to fit the artwork. Upon release, the EP garnered generally favorable reviews from critics, a common praise being its unique style. Composition ''Chinese Nü Yr'' is an electronica album using elements of bass, grime and 2-step garage. Malliagh explained that ''Chinese Nü Yr'' is based on a story about 'Xiāngjiāo', a gelatinous and amorphous worm who wears a witch hat and is voiced by heavily pitch-shifted and processed recordings of his father and little sister. Gloo
Gloo (sometimes stylized in all caps as GLOO) is a British electronic music group composed of musicians Iglooghost, Kai Whiston, and BABii. The trio released their debut album, ''XYZ'' in 2019. History The trio are all musicians and frequent collaborators from the United Kingdom. Iglooghost and Whiston are long-time friends from Shaftesbury, although Whiston initially disliked Iglooghost's "faux-FlyLo beats." BABii hails from Margate, where she played a show together with Iglooghost. As the two familiarized themselves with each other, BABii gave vocal stems to Iglooghost and would feature on several tracks on his 2018 ''Clear Tamei'' and ''Steel Mogu'' EPs. BABii would meet Whiston at a festival. She also designed machines that gave fans rewards during an Iglooghost and Kai Whiston tour. In 2018, Whiston described Gloo as an open and loosely-defined creative concept, telling ''Paper'' in an interview: The definition is intentionally vague but it's not so much an imprint or labe ...

Clear Tamei
''Clear Tamei'' is an extended play (EP) by producer Seamus Malliagh, known by his stage name Iglooghost, released on the Brainfeeder label on 8 August 2018. It is the first of two EPs released by Malliagh, the second being ''Steel Mogu''. The EP, especially the title track, notably contains lyrics rapped and chanted in an as-yet-unnamed constructed language developed by Malliagh, described by Jay Balfour writing for ''Pitchfork'' as "mumbled gibberish". Ninja Tune
Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London. It has a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More (better known as Coldcut) and managed by Peter Quicke and others. Inspired by a visit to Japan, Black and More created Ninja Tune in 1990 as a means to escape the creative control of major labels, and as a vehicle to release music of an underground nature, free from the constraints they experienced in their brief stints with Arista and Big Life. The label has been called "visionary" and "reliably excellent". It has signed a diverse range of artists, has created its own publishing company, Just Isn't Music, and finds innovative uses of software. The label's first releases — the first five volumes of DJ Food's ''Jazz Brakes'' — were produced by Coldcut in the early 1990s, and were celebrated by the music press and beat aficionados. They were composed of instrumental sample-based cuts that led the duo to help pioneer new ...

Shaftesbury
Shaftesbury () is a town and civil parish in Dorset, England. It is situated on the A30 road, west of Salisbury, near the border with Wiltshire. It is the only significant hilltop settlement in Dorset, being built about above sea level on a greensand hill on the edge of Cranborne Chase. The town looks over the Blackmore Vale, part of the River Stour basin. Shaftesbury is the site of the former Shaftesbury Abbey, which was founded in 888 by King Alfred and became one of the richest religious establishments in the country, before being destroyed in the dissolution in 1539. Adjacent to the abbey site is Gold Hill, a steep cobbled street used in the 1970s as the setting for Ridley Scotts television advertisement for Hovis bread. In the 2011 Census the town's civil parish had a population of 7,314. Toponymy Shaftesbury has acquired a number of names throughout its history. Experimental Music
Experimental music is a general label for any music or music genre that pushes existing boundaries and genre definitions. Experimental compositional practice is defined broadly by exploratory sensibilities radically opposed to, and questioning of, institutionalized compositional, performing, and aesthetic conventions in music. Elements of experimental music include Indeterminacy in music, indeterminate music, in which the composer introduces the elements of chance or unpredictability with regard to either the composition or its performance. Artists may also approach a hybrid of disparate styles or incorporate unorthodox and unique elements. The practice became prominent in the mid-20th century, particularly in Europe and North America. John Cage was one of the earliest composers to use the term and one of experimental music's primary innovators, utilizing Indeterminacy (music), indeterminacy techniques and seeking unknown outcomes. In France, as early as 1953, Pierre Schaeffer had ...

People From Shaftesbury
A person ( : people) is a being that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility. The defining features of personhood and, consequently, what makes a person count as a person, differ widely among cultures and contexts. In addition to the question of personhood, of what makes a being count as a person to begin with, there are further questions about personal identity and self: both about what makes any particular person that particular person instead of another, and about what makes a person at one time the same person as they were or will be at another time despite any intervening changes. The plural form "people" is often used to refer to an entire nation or ethnic group (as in "a people"), and this was the original meaning of the word; it subsequently acquired its use as a plural form of per ...
