Ieki Station
is a passenger railway station in located in the city of Tsu, Mie Prefecture, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tōkai). Lines Ieki Station is served by the Meishō Line, and is 25.8 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Matsusaka Station. Station layout The station consists of two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing. However, from October 8, 2009 to 26 March, 2016, platform 2 was not used. The abbreviated JNR or , was the business entity that operated Japan's national railway network from 1949 to 1987. Typhoon Melor (2009)
Typhoon Melor, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Quedan, was the second category 5 super typhoon in 2009. It interacted with Typhoon Parma in the first week of October southeast of Taiwan. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Matsusaka Station
is a union passenger railway station in the city of Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, operated jointly by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) and Kintetsu. Lines Matsusaka Station is served by the JR Kisei Main Line and is 34.6 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kameyama Station. It is also a terminus for the 43.5 kilometer JR Meishō Line to Ise-Okitsu Station. The station is also served by the Kintetsu Yamada Line and 8.4 rail kilometers from the terminus of that line at Ise-Nakagawa Station.
