Idol 2007
The fourth season of ''Swedish Idol'' premiered on September 3, 2007, and continued until its grand finale on 7 December, when 28-year-old Marie Picasso was crowned winner. It was the first season to feature an all-female finale, and is to date the only season to crown a winner who had previously fallen into the 'bottom three' during the finals, with Picasso landing there twice. It was the first season to hold its grand finale at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, and to date holds the record for the largest live audience at an ''Idol'' final anywhere in the world, with a crowd of 16,000 people. The finale also featured a live performance by Kelly Clarkson. It was the final season to feature judges Daniel Breitholtz, Peter Swartling and Kishti Tomita, who all bowed out for various personal reasons. Daniel Breitholtz
Daniel Breitholtz, born 18 October 1977, is a former A&R-manager at Sony BMG. Together with voice coach Kishti Tomita, manager and talent scout Peter Swartling and producer, musician and disc jockey Claes af Geijerstam he was part of the Idol 2004, Idol 2005, Idol 2006 and Idol 2007 jury. Breitholtz has a history with artists like Whitney Houston, Westlife, Outkast and Toni Braxton. Breitholtz has also been a publisher for some of the most successful songwriters, who have written music for Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Westlife and Christina Aguilera Christina María Aguilera (; ; born December 18, 1980) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality. Hannah Rakel Serafia Graaf Karyd (born ''Graf'' 31 August 1978) is a Swedish glamour model and singer. Graaf along with her model sister, Magdalena, formed a musical duo called The Graaf Sisters. Early years Graaf was born in Gothenburg, but grew up in Kungsängen, Stockholm County. Graaf grew up singing in the Swedish Pentecostal Church. Due to her tall stature, Graaf began modeling in her teens. Career Modeling Graaf would regularly appear in men's magazine with her older sister Magdalena Graaf. The two courted controversy which created a great deal of publicity for the sisters. In 1998, the sisters stopped modeling to focus on their music career. Gathania Holmgren, known professionally as Gathania (born 1 August 1986, Stockholm), is a Swedish pop singer who competed on ''Idol 2007'', the fourth season of '' Swedish Idol''. Before finding success on Idol, Sweden's adaptation of the popular music competition, Holmgren worked as a waitress. Holmgren was 20 years old when she auditioned for Idol in Stockholm. She performed "Rhythm of the Night" and was chosen by the judges to advance to the next round. Holmgren advanced to the finals of the competition, finishing in ninth place overall. Holmgren is currently signed with EMI in Sweden, and Hard2Beat Records in the United Kingdom. She cites Madonna, Whitney Houston, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, and Michael Jackson as some of her musical influences. Christoffer Hiding
Christoffer Hiding (born 25 December 1985 in Göteborg but raised in Alingsås) is a Swedish singer who took part in the Swedish ''Idol 2007'' finishing 6th place. His cover version of Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" was a minor hit for him reaching #53 on the Swedish Singles Chart. In 2011, Hiding took part in ''Melodifestivalen'' singing alongside Swingfly to the song "Me and My Drum" at the Globe Arena finals in Stockholm, coming 5th overall. Swingfly raps the verses, whereas Christoffer sings the chorus in the song. He released his debut music video for "Shine On" which is from his 2013 album, ''Yes, Higher!''. Mattias Andréasson
Mattias Andréasson (born 29 March 1981 in Västerås), Swedish singer and ''Swedish Idol 2007'' contestant (in which he came 5th place). As a student, he attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. He is also known as dmaSOUL. He was part of Swedish band E.M.D., which was active between 2007 and 2010. ''Idol'' For his first audition in ''Idol 2007'', Mattias sang the Musiq Soulchild hit ''Just Friends''. Daniel Karlsson (born 31 August 1981 in Norrahammar, Jönköping, Sweden) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He later on took the name The Moniker as his stage name. Borlänge
Borlänge is a locality in Dalarna County, Sweden with 44,898 inhabitants as of 2020. It is the seat of the Borlänge Municipality with a total population of 51,604 inhabitants as of 2017. History Originally Borlänge was the name of a tiny village, and the first historical information about it is from 1390. The village was insignificant up until about 1870.
