Identity Card (2010 Film)
''Identity Card'' ( cs, Občanský průkaz) is a 2010 Czech comedy film by Ondřej Trojan based on a story by Petr Šabach. The film premiered on 21 October 2010. The story, which takes place in Prague in the years 1974–77, tells about a group of fellow students: Peter (Petr), Cinderella (Popelka), Ales (Aleš) and Mita (Míťa). The film begins when Peter receives his identity card on his fifteenth birthday. Ondřej Trojan () (born 31 December 1959) is a Czech people, Czech film producer, actor and film director. Two of the films he produced were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film : ''Divided We Fall (film), Divided We Fall'' (2000) and ''Želary'' (2003), which he also directed. Petr Jarchovský
Petr Jarchovský (born 6 October 1966 in Prague) is a Czech screenwriter, whose writing credits include ''Big Beat'' (1993), ''Cosy Dens'' (1999), and '' Divided We Fall'' (2000). Jarchovský is a frequent and long-term collaborator with director Jan Hřebejk. Career Jarchovský attended high school in Prague and then, from 1987 to 1991, at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, alongside his high school classmate and future creative collaborator Jan Hřebejk. His screenwriting debut was a collaboration with another classmate, Igor Chaun, on a project entitled ''Very Believable Stories''. Around this time, Jarchovský and Hřebejk also co-wrote a film based on Hřebejk's experiences of socialist summer camps, entitled ''Let's All Sing A Song'', which was later made into a feature film by Ondřej Trojan in his directorial debut. Jiří Macháček
Jiří Macháček (born 6 July 1966 in Litoměřice) is a Czech actor and singer. Education Macháček graduated from high school in Prague before attending Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, the Law Faculty at Charles University in Prague, and the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts. Career Macháček performed with several Czech theaters including the Theatre on the Balustrade (Divadlo Na zábradlí), Divadlo Sklep, and Divadlo Na Jezerce. His first major film role, in Saša Gedeon's comedy ''Return of the Idiot'' (1999), was followed by a prominent role in David Ondricek's '' Samotáři'' (Loners) in 2000, for which he won the Czech Lion for Best Supporting Actor. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Some of the earliest silent films were comedies, as slapstick comedy often relies on visual depictions, without requiring sound.
