Ian Wright
Ian Edward Wright (born 3 November 1963) is an English television and radio personality and former professional footballer. He works as a pundit for BBC Sport and ITV Sport. Wright enjoyed success with London clubs Crystal Palace and Arsenal as a forward, spending six years with the former and seven years with the latter. With Arsenal he lifted the Premier League title, both the major domestic cup competitions, and the European Cup Winners Cup. Known for his speed, agility, finishing and aggression, he played 581 league games, scoring 287 goals for seven clubs in Scotland and England, while also earning 33 caps for the England national team, and scoring nine international goals. Ian Matthew Wright (born 10 March 1972) is an English former footballer who played as a central defender. He started his career at Stoke City F.C., Stoke City and later played for Bristol Rovers F.C., Bristol Rovers and Hull City A.F.C., Hull City before dropping down into non-league football with Hereford United F.C., Hereford United. Career Wright started his career at Football League Second Division, Second Division side Stoke City F.C., Stoke City's youth team. He passed through the youth ranks at City and was handed a professional contract with the club in 1990. He made his debut against Swindon Town F.C., Swindon Town on the final day of the 1989–90 season with Stoke already relegated to the Football League Third Division, Third Division. Ian Wright was a British illustrator. Education and career Born in England in 1953, Wright studied at Goldsmiths College in London (1974–1975) and received a bachelor's degree in graphic design from the London College of Printing in 1978. Following his degree studies, he became assistant to George Hardie (1978–1979) and then shared a studio with designer Neville Brody at ''The Face'' magazine (1979–1981 and 1990–1996). In 1981, he set up his own studio. Wright's work as a commercial illustrator has spanned four decades, starting with his illustrative cover of The Undertones’ Teenage Kicks 7” single in the late 1970s, progressing with his illustrative artwork for ''The Face'' in their 1980s heyday and his weekly black and white portraits for the ''New Musical Express''. Ian Wright (percussionist)
Ian Wright was born in Aberdeen, United Kingdom. He studied mathematics at the University of Aberdeen before embarking on a career in music. His main interest outside music is travelling, especially when it involves walking and cycling. Career Wright was made a fellow of the Royal Northern College of Music in 1988. He was involved in the preparation of the first percussion syllabus for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), a task which included writing the pieces for the four timpani books and some of the snare drum pieces for the examinations. He is presently a diploma examiner for the ABRSM. Ian Andrew Wright (born 9 December 1961) is a former New Zealand rower who won an Olympic bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Wright has won 31 national titles during his career. After his rowing career ended, he became a coach and his Swiss lightweight men's four team won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is now Australia's head rowing coach announced in September 2016. He immediately coached the Australian men's four to a gold medal at the 2017 world rowing championships (Sarasota, Florida). Rowing career Wright was born in 1961 in Wanganui, New Zealand. Ian Douglas Wright (born 17 May 1965, Suffolk, England) is an English television host, artist and comedian. Wright was host of Pilot Productions' travel/adventure television series '' Globe Trekker'' (also called ''Pilot Guides'' in Canada and the United States and originally broadcast as ''Lonely Planet''). He also hosted the short-lived programme Ian Wright Live, a show filmed before a live audience and featured discussions on various travel topics.
