Ian Boswell
Ian Boswell (born February 7, 1991) is an American off-road cyclist, who competes in gravel bike racing for the Wahoo Frontiers team. Prior to this, Boswell competed as a road racing cyclist between 2010 and 2019 for (2010), (2011–2012), (2012), (2013–2017) and (2018–2019). Career Born in Bend, Oregon, United States, where he competed in a number of sports including high school basketball, American football, cross-country skiing and running, Boswell currently resides in Peacham, Vermont. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Vuelta a España and the 2016 Giro d'Italia. In July 2018, he was named in the start list for the 2018 Tour de France. He won the Unbound Gravel 200 in 2021, pipping another former WorldTour pro Laurens ten Dam to the finish. 2012 Tour Of California
The 2012 Amgen Tour of California was the seventh running of the Tour of California cycling stage race. It was held from May 13–20, and was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI America Tour. It began in Santa Rosa and concluded in front of Los Angeles's Staples Center after eight stages. As per the Union Cycliste Internationale rules adopted in 2011, the use of race radios was prohibited, since only the events which are designated UCI World Tour events can use the devices. Cross Country Running
Cross country running is a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain such as dirt or grass. The course, typically long, may include surfaces of grass and earth, pass through woodlands and open country, and include hills, flat ground and sometimes gravel road and minor obstacles. It is both an individual and a team sport; runners are judged on individual times and teams by a points-scoring method. United States National Road Race Championships
The United States National Professional Road Race Championships began in 1985. They are run by the governing body, USA Cycling. Until 2006 the race was open to all nationalities, the first American to finish being named the winner and given a distinctive jersey. Since the championship in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2006, all riders have had to be American. Before 1985, only the amateur champions were named. From 1921 to 1964, the Amateur Bicycle League of America (ABLA) National Championships were held as an omnium of track-style events for Men, Women, and Juniors, rather than as a road race. Laurens Ten Dam
Laurens ten Dam (born 13 November 1980) is a Dutch former road racing cyclist and current gravel racer. He competed professionally in road cycling between 2003 and 2019 for the , , , , and squads. Career A native of the village of Zuidwolde in Groningen, Ten Dam started racing in 2000. A decent climber, Ten Dam was able to finish in the top ten in many important stage races including the 2007 Volta a Catalunya, the 2011 Tour Down Under, the 2011 Tour of California, and the 2011 Tour de Suisse. The 2018 Tour de France was the 105th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tours. The 2016 Giro d'Italia was the 99th edition of the Giro d'Italia, one of cycling's Grand Tour races. The Giro started in Apeldoorn on 6 May with a individual time trial, followed by two other stages in the Netherlands, both between Nijmegen and Arnhem. The 2015 Vuelta a España was a three-week Grand Tour cycling race. The race was the 70th edition of the Vuelta a España and took place principally in Spain, although two stages took place partly or wholly in Andorra, and was the 22nd race in the 2015 UCI World Tour. The race included 21 stages, beginning in Marbella on 22 August 2015 and finishing in Madrid on 13 September. Bath () is a city in the Bath and North East Somerset unitary area in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. At the 2021 Census, the population was 101,557.
