I Slik En Natt
''I slik en natt'' (On a Night Like This) is a Norwegian war film from 1958 directed by Sigval Maartmann-Moe. It stars Anne-Lise Tangstad. The music was composed by Øivin Fjeldstad. The title ''I slik en natt'' is taken from Henrik Wergeland's poem "Juleaftenen" (Christmas Eve) in his poetry collection '' Jøden'' (The Jew), and the film deals with the Gestapo's search for a group of Jewish children in Oslo and bold action to bring the children to safety. Plot In the film In November 1942 in occupied Norway, a group of Jewish refugee children are in danger, and a young doctor tries to save them from the Germans. They engage in a dramatic escape to Sweden. Historical event Colbjørn Helander's film script is based on an actual event, although it is not a documentary. In the fall of 1942, the Nazis had begun sending Norwegian Jews to concentration camps in Germany. Sigval Maartmann-Moe
Sigval Maartmann-Moe (May 23, 1921 – June 7, 2010) was a Norwegian film director and screenwriter. Maartmann-Moe made his debut as a film director in 1951 with '' Dei svarte hestane'', which he directed together with Hans Jacob Nilsen. This debut was followed by the documentary film '' Fakkelen til Oslo'' (1952), '' Savnet siden mandag'' (1955), ''Peter van Heeren'' (1957), ''I slik en natt'' (1958), and '' Vår egen tid'' (1959). Maartmann-Moe also wrote the screenplays for the last three. Stig Egede-Nissen
Stig Egede-Nissen (December 11, 1907 – October 4, 1988) was a Norwegian actor and naval officer. Biography Egede-Nissen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of Communist Party of Norway leader Adam Egede-Nissen and Goggi Egede-Nissen. He was the brother of the actors and actresses Aud Egede-Nissen, Gerd Grieg, Ada Kramm, Oscar Egede-Nissen, Lill Egede-Nissen, and Gøril Havrevold. He discontinued his studies in medicine and studied at the Norwegian Institute of Technology until 1935, before studying theater at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh from 1935 to 1938. Back in Trondheim, he made his debut at the Trøndelag Theater and then moved to Oslo, where he was at the Carl Johan Theater from 1940 to 1942. Stevelin Urdahl (born Stevelin Urdahl Foss, September 21, 1899 – August 14, 1967) was a Norwegians, Norwegian stage and screen actor. Urdahl was born in Oslo, Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. Arne Gurstad Riis (June 21, 1923 – April 29, 2009) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actor. Riis was engaged with the Oslo Nye Teater, New Theater from 1949 to 1957. Thorleif Dymling Reiss (May 22, 1898 – April 14, 1988) was a Norwegian actor. Career Reiss made his debut at the National Theater in Oslo in 1918. From 1931 to 1939, he was employed at the Carl Johan Theater, where he also served as co-director. From 1942 onward he was employed at the New Theater. Ingrid Øvre Wiik (née Hansen, June 23, 1918 – June 10, 1999) was a Norwegian actress. Family Ingrid Øvre Wiik was born in Tromsdalen, the daughter of Petter Hilmar Hansen (1884–1968) from Balsfjord and Ivanna Sofie Andreassen (1887–1970) from Andersdal, a village in the municipality of Tromsø.
