I Never Die
''I Never Die'' is the first studio album by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle, released by Cube Entertainment on March 14, 2022. It contains eight tracks, including the lead single "Tomboy", and marked the group's first release as a quintet following the departure of member Soojin in August 2021. Background and release In January 2021, the group released their fourth extended play ''I Burn'', which detailed the various emotions experienced during the process of finding happiness after separation. It received generally positive reviews from contemporary critics. It debuted at number three on the Gaon Album Chart, becoming the group's fifth top ten album in the country, and scored their best opening-week sales, selling 115,500 copies. The EP also marked as their final release as a sextet before Soojin's hiatus and subsequent departure from the group in August 2021. (G)I-dle (), stylized in all caps, is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua. Originally a sextet, Soojin left the lineup on August 14, 2021. (G)I-dle debuted on May 2, 2018, with the single "Latata" from their first extended play (EP) ''I Am''. They debuted in Japan under U-Cube with ''Latata'' on July 31, 2019. The Circle Album Chart, previously known as the Gaon Album Chart, is a record chart ranking the 100 most popular albums, extended plays and single albums in South Korea based on their Record sales, pure sales. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. It compiles shipments in weekly, monthly and year-end format with detailed album sales. History The Gaon Album Chart was launched as a part of the Gaon Chart in February 2010 by Korea Music Content Association and South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
